Directions
  • Moonrise Campout is hosted at Sirius Ranch, Chicago Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92307.

  • Only use Google maps to find the ranch, as the location will not show up on Apple Maps or any other GPS. Reception is spotty so be sure you start your navigation before you hit the dirt road!

  • While the road conditions are reliable for all types of cars big and small, we do advise caravanning with a few other cars just in case you have car troubles and no cell service.

  • The dirt road will pass through private property but you will see Moonrise signs indicating you’re headed the right way.

  • We highly, highly advise arriving before sundown.

Things to keep in mind
  • Moonrise Campout is 21+

  • We love pets, but this event is not animal friendly

  • No fireworks or weapons (:

  • We do not provide electricity

Desert wildlife - Be on alert for and stay clear at all times for Mojave Green Rattlesnake. They like to hang out near the bases of bushes and rocks and are nocturnal. If walking in a remote area be aware and make a warning noise. If you hear a rattle, slowly back away.  Keep your tent zipped up at all times, they are attracted to warmth. The best protection against snake bite is closed toed shoes, so please protect yourself. If you see a rattlesnake near your camp, please notify a Moonrise crew member.

Everyone is going to have an amazing, safe time but just in case: if bitten by a rattlesnake, proceed immediately to the closest hospital. Do not apply a tourniquet, “suck the venom”, or ice the wound. Once cell reception is available, call 911 and coordinate your arrival at the ER. Please note that symptoms of Mojave Green Rattlesnake venom are often delayed. Proceed to the hospital with or without symptoms.

Trash - Pack it in, Pack it out. Respect nature. Make sure your trash and waste are secure. If it isn’t quickly biodegradable, trash cans will be provided. Littering of any kind will not be tolerated. We want to leave these grounds as beautiful as we found them.

Restrooms - There are restrooms on site. Make sure to only use the biodegradable toilet paper provided. Do not put feminine care products or trash in the toilet. After doing your business, sprinkle some of the provided sawdust to help with composting and to reduce odor.
