Directions
Our home for the evening will be Sirius Ranch. The location is only listed on Google Maps. Do not use Apple Maps, as the location does not show up. You can search “Sirius Ranch Apple Valley” or use the address below. Reception is spotty on the way in, so make sure you start your navigation before you hit the dirt road. The roads themselves are fairly easy to drive on and you will see Moonrise signs along the way to confirm that you’re headed in the right direction. At one point the road will pass through what looks like a private property. Keep calm and carry on, you are going the right way. Even small cars should have no problem with the terrain. We suggest caravanning in with at least one other car in case of flat tires and the intermittent cell reception. Please plan to arrive Saturday by 4pm at the latest. Trying to arrive at night will be much more trouble than it’s worth.

Things to keep in mind
Restrictions - Moonrise Campout is 21+. We love pets, but this event is not animal friendly. No fireworks or weapons.
Fires - There are fire pits provided on the property to be used. No fires are allowed outside the designated fire pits.
Desert wildlife - Be on alert for and stay clear at all times for: Mojave Green Rattlesnake (diamond pattern, light green)- Very dangerous! They like to hang out near the bases of bushes and rocks and are nocturnal. If walking in a remote area be aware and make a little warning noise so they can warn you back with a rattle. Keep your tent zipped up at all times, they are attracted to warmth. If you see a rattlesnake near your camp, please notify a Moonrise crew member. We will safely and without harming the snake, relocate it away from camp.
Immediately tell an organizer of any bites, we have trained EMTs on site and can get you to proper care.
Trash - Pack it in, Pack it out- We have respect for nature. Make sure your trash and waste are secure. If it isn’t biodegradable, trash it in one of the trash cans that will be provided. It is your responsibility to abide by the moral law of littering. One of our goals is to make sure this place stays sacred and beautiful.
Restrooms - There are 2 outhouses on site. Make sure to only use the biodegradable toilet paper provided. Do not put feminine care products or trash in the toilet. After doing your business, sprinkle in some of the provided sawdust to keep restrooms from smelling and to help with composting.
Express yourself - Be creative and expressive. We promote the use of our artistic outer expression as well as inner. Wear something that shows how creative you can be. Feel free to bring led lights and don’t forget your glowies!
